Going from Recruiter to Hiring Manager

During the past year, I've gone from helping hiring managers build their teams, to becoming a hiring manager myself and building my own team.

This experience has helped me understand better what managers are going through when hiring for their own companies.

And to be more aware of:

- the pressure of not hiring fast enough

- the business risk behind making a hiring mistake

- the candidate experience during the hiring process

- how to manage our time when we add hiring to our already busy calendars

- how to be effective at assessing the skills that matter the most

- and, how to avoid mistakes as much as possible, because, they will inevitably happen!

Chapeau to all the managers out there, who have mastered the art of recruiting. 👒
